Transactional Analysis

We all have the P-PARENT,A-ADULT and C-CHILD in us.We use them in varying degree and all places be it work or play.This is Transactional Analysis.

My daughters however kept me on the C front more often than P and A .This had an advantage.I never forgot how to do Kangaroo hops nor replicate Tintin or Tom and Jerry while at home .This created an ambiance that was so lively that we drowned all our stress and day to day issues that got us worked up and enjoyed these moments.Irrespective of your position in the professional circuit, at home you are yourself the true individual you want or wanted to be always.

Its good to transit between A and C rather than the P, as the parent in us is very protective and we tend to keep them all in a shell.This gives us a good area and span to understand the generation gaps and flex our thoughts, be on a common platform, and give comfort to the young and old alike.Adult mode gives you the matured, decision making skills and be the support provider that makes the child feel that there is this backup which he knows back of his mind that would provide the cushion in event of a setback in anything he or she wishes to do independently.

The lively cheer, the fun and frolic, the smiles and giggles come from the Child mode and that I feel is crucial.That element in my opinion may sound absurd to many parents but it does make life so lively and joyful that you go back many years when you might have missed out on these things.Do some crazy adventure trips, night drives, breakout and dance even if you haven't danced ever.Throw your inhibitions out of the window and be your self the way you want to , when you want to.Dress to please yourself and not others, eat what you like and mingle and mix using the lingo the present generation likes.Whats wrong?
