When we work in different environments one gets to see many experienced people who are heading various verticals, institutes, organizations or sections.What we notice is that how many of them really are good coaches and guides,imparting knowledge, sharing thoughts ,ideas and experiences and more importantly willingness to learn inspite of those number of years behind them.
I find insecure people, sometimes threatened by an unknown fear or the possibility of the subordinate getting the better of him,and hence hold back key ,vital inputs that may help him and his team as well as the organization as a whole to grow.But,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Those few who do impart knowledge do it one way assuming that they are the masterminds, the know all guys and no lesser mortal can teach him.Sad again. Why are we so closeted and feel it below ones dignity to learn new things in life.
There are others who teach, coach, guide, mentor and are open to new thoughts and ideas.We need a lot of such persons for the next generations.
So where ever you are start being one now. You are the lighthouse to the gen next who will help them cruise through those choppy waters of life .
