NODDY

Let me clarify this is not Enid Blytons character NODDY with the jingle bell cap on his head and Big ears for company, but it is my neighborhood INDIAN.
Ask anyone did you understand the meaning of this and he or she will go Noddy nod nod!!!!!!!!If you ask again "yes' or "no",it goes noddy, nod ,nod.

We are not exercising our neck muscles but just habituated to nodding. Its a way of life.Nod up and down its probably a yes and nod side ways its a No.We just conserve energy and speak less, act more.I wonder if that is the reason we have Bollywood where people become fantastic actors.

Many a times you are confused and believe you in me , they too are in the same boat. The ulterior motive behind this nod is if you are not sure you keep nodding and the moment you double check with this person he sways his head all over just to align his neck muscles to your thought process. In short I agree to disagree or agree, all in one.I love my India which inspite of all this is a force to reckon with.

S I R

This is one word the British brainwashed us and we unfortunately are stuck with it so much so that FEVICOL( adhesives) could make a Advertising campaign on the same.

In the south of India we have " SAAR" as the way or mode of life when you address any one, mostly every one.NO SAAR, YES SAAR, OK SAAR........AND SO ON.

The north Indians are very smart. They use it for their own advantage and it weighs on you so much that you become obligated to do anything you want him to do.e.g KYA SIIIIR!!COME ON SIIIIIR.......the elongated SIIIIR is like a stretch limousine completely dependent on the importance you attach to the work you want done. Then anybody can be SIR.Those who don't understand then become SAAAAB...not the car manufacturer but the person you want to milk.It is mostly used in the Government organizations and is carrying the same meaning.

West is the best. Most sophisticated SIR comes here as all are suited and booted executives. There are professional Sirs and friendly sirs, used often and so much so that an American tourist wonders if the first names start with sir.......KNIGHTHOODS ARE AT EVERY CORNER SHOP IN INDIA........WHAT THE QUEEN LEFT WE USE IT GENEROUSLY.

Sorry Sir Sean Connery,we may not mean the same with honour when in India its just a habit:))

x-mas crunch

I didn't know Baroda was this crazy about Christmas.May be the NRI or NRG's so to say who are bitten by the Santa Bug have decided to go all out in search of Christmas trees and snow( cotton here) as well as plum cakes in a dry state and those too eggless with the rum soaked plums and raisins missing:((

The traffic jams were in Tons. One wondered if the entire city had decided to come out to shop.A peek inside i realized that it was the usual chaos of people wanting to drive in virtually non existent lanes and flyovers at times due to impatience and those who have returned from abroad for spending their holidays must be saying"Oh what stupid people, they have no traffic sense".A few years back they were doing the same in India:))but now they are foreign returned:))

The Santa ( no pot belly ) as none of the cops volunteered to do that role ,it was taken up by someone who appeared to have starved for years and could just take the weight of the Santa attire and had to be supported by another guy to hold the bag of goodies speaking in Gujarati with the NRG community. They replied back in heavily accented english that sounded like the A,B,C,D( AMERICAN BORN CONFUSED DESIS) which our poor Santa didn't understand.Nevertheless thats christmas in Vadodara----My city and we celebrated the same eating out as all of us are lazy and inflation going to double digits never deters us from spending on foooooooooooood.

arakshan mein rakshan

Reservation within reservation............this government in India is going nuts.Under the guise of quota they are busy destroying the fabric of democracy and creating harmful divisions that is going to destroy peace, harmony and the education would be a joke.WHY?????????????????????????.

Come on this is sad.We are progressing at a good pace and just because UttarPradesh elections are round the corner and you want to capitalize on that these concessions are made.Shame on these politicos.

Rahul Gandhi cannot do much.Diggy is busy with Anna and his corruption, Pranab and Chidu are lost in coming out clean from the dirt thrown at them from opposition so what remains is diversionary tactics .God save this place.

Don(e)-2

Movie sequels are a trend in Bollywood and they are coming by the dozens. But not all are successful.Look at the current DON-2 the movie.Lets do some critique sessions.

The photography, action, technicalities etc super , great show and I can say Bollywood has come of age.

But ,Don is aging and needs a lot of Photoshop to hide the signs.Maybe Olay could feature him next in their advertisements. Piggychops -Priyanka Chopra with bee stung lips and a La lara Croft walk so to say tries to be at her best as a COP and exists before she exits. The 3D is the biggest show stealer as its a waste of money and technology and there is no third dimension to experience as one may see in say KungFu Panda etc but you get conned in seeing DON in 3D for sure.Hats of to marketing .

I wanted to see Berlin and thank God he saved my money as I had a lot of sight seeing in the movie. My wishes were granted by DON almighty.

And last but not least the registration plate on the last Motorbike sequence says DON 3-------PLEASE save me from that atrocity as i can take it no more.Hrithik looks good in the cameo and can do an Indian Bond movie for sure.

So many Hollywood movies sequined in one Bollywood DON.Don ko samzna muskhil hi nahi, namumkin hai.....................

Hurricane Katrina-2

This is the most awesome trailor i have seen of Katrina the Bollywood superstar.Watch her sensuous moves and her energy that she exhibits simply par excellence.

I was so carried away that I almost took off to match her dance steps while I was watching her on TV.She has and will reign on top of the item girl list as well.Mind you the Marathi Lavani( folk and traditional dance of Maharashtra) is very difficult to keep pace with and yet maintain the grace and sexiness to that number.I have no words but to say" I am going to watch this movie Agneepath" releasing shortly only for this number.Sounds crazy but why not.She deserves it.After Madhuri Dixit she is the girl to watch .Mind blowing.

There comes Hurricane Katrina-2

Truth prevails

There is a program that runs on TV channel in India called 'saach ka samna"which literally means " face the truth".its an adaptation of a US TV program and people who wish to take a polygraph test and face 51 questions about their lives and the hidden truth that they wish to expose to the public get paid for the same.

I was seeing one of the episodes and was wondering if it is really fair in giving that contestant money in millions for blatantly confessing on TV in front of his family who themselves are having a background that is dubious and then make the audience clap???!!!!.

This guy has had illicit relationships, given money to hide the same by sending his lawfully wedded wife to his home town so that he can have fun, then he has the audacity to change his name as he has been blacklisted by telecom and banking firms and now works with an insurance firm.He has duped many a persons including his best friend ,some clients who trusted him with their hard earned money and his own wife and parents. How can one even give this guy another chance? How can the person honestly be forgiven because any action of his can never be trusted. He blames it on circumstances but in that case every person going through similar situations starts committing fraud and duping people ,the very word TRUST will cease to exist.

How come the organizers even pay him the prize money when he has duped so many people who he owes money first.? The Guy has no remorse though he claims to turn over a new leaf which is hard to digest.

The cops must take corrective action and may be treat such cases with a sense of urgency to set an example.

BOLT FROM THE BLUE

THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS AND 10 MORE DAYS TO GO FOR 2011 TO CLOSE.Time really flies as they say.One look back over your shoulder and glance at the last 355 days they have been memorable. What did the last year teach me?

Take life at its own pace and enjoy every moment. It never comes back.

Reduce the pace of life where ever possible and savor the experiences with your loved ones and get out of that rat race that takes you nowhere.

Find solutions and try and resolve every issue to get the ultimate satisfaction of having done something constructive in life.

Interact and keep in touch with the people that matter to you in life and mean a lot genuinely.Life is short and you may never have a second chance to connect.

Stop watching the stupid idiot box that sensationalizes the canvas of life and blows things out of proportions most of the time. They do come out with scams and the year 2011 is definitely the scam year for sure in India.

Natural calamities struck one after the other and even the best of nations couldn't cope up with it .Such is the fury of nature that one has to surrender.Be alert, be sensitive to others and be aware.

Lost a few good friends and relations this year and made me realize how fragile we are and how abrupt the train of life can come to an end.It shocks the families and friends though we know all of us share the same destiny. The question being----WHEN!!

Wars, calamities, disasters, accolades, economic downturns, bears and bulls, traffic, pollution, health hazards, increasing population, sinking islands, fast depleting ozone layers and of course the shifting poles.............nothing is constant except the change taking place.

Hope we all have a great closing and a fantastic opening of the year to go and the one to come.

hare rama hare krishna

Challenging the Bhagwad Gita and terming it extremist would be the biggest sin anyone could commit.

Has anyone ,reading the Gita turned towards extremism? Do they start Jihad?Do they chant 'Hare Krishna and Attack poor , innocent people or destroy structures and monuments?Russia needs to introspect and really find out why such absurd claims are even entertained in the court of justice.

If people of a certain clan are promoting it wrongly that needs to be investigated. If there are political undercurrents which I don't understand much then that must be Eradicated.Gita is a very practical insight into the way of life and doesn't in any way harm any individual and has been stated by Lord Krishna himself for which lots of evidence is available.

Hope it drives sense in the warped minds who cannot think straight.

countdown 2012-D day

Many blogs, interpretations of the D-day that the world will come to an end being talked about over the net and in various discussions.Wow!!!

I do have one statement to make here however. My Guru told me in 2001 when we had a lot of calamities and economic upheavals that "these are the indications, the beginning of the end " .Lets learn and change our ways or else we would be solely responsible for the catastrophe. And this is indeed true.Be it Nostradamus, the Mayan Calender predictions, be it NASA or the Hindu mythology or the Bible stating the same, we have enough evidence to prove that the trailors seen are the tips of the movie iceberg. When and how is anybody's guess?

Check the natural disasters in Japan, Indonesia, Thailand,Australia, New zealand, and man made ones in Egypt,Yemen, Pakistan,Qatar,Baharain, and the link goes on.Next 366 days starting today we have many more to follow if we don't listen to the signals of almighty.

So as i have mentioned in my previous posts, lets live every moment and cherish it rather than worry about the 366 days more to go ........Dec 21st 2012.

Wishing one and all a very Happy New year and many more to come.

aarakshan-The reservation dilema

Had a chance to view the movie and felt like penning down a few thoughts on this controversial subject.60 years since independence and the political regimes could only think of divisive politics and ensure people and their vote banks are kept happy so that they can return to power for their hidden agendas. What happens to the nation or its future is nobody's baby.

The moot point is we need to ensure we provide for basic education to each Indian and ensure it is implemented without bias. This has to be done very consistently and create a base for the people across the caste and religion to compete on even terms. The brain is not dalit or backward class. Its the mindset and circumstances created used to extract your pound of flesh. Then we don't need to set aside special categories and cut off percentages if given an even playing field.

Now comes the immediate question. How does one tackle the current lot and create that even playing field, without disrupting the future generations? If we give them special considerations as blanket clearances, then it will be a field day for all and result in a big wedge being driven down humanity creating a deep divide amongst us Indians. Why not try to improve the competitiveness by making the students of all strata appear for a common entrance and evaluate based on mental aptitude and EQ etc rather than areas which the under privileged may not be exposed to.Mental alertness, EQ, aptitude is god given without caste and gender. Then where is the issue.Have weightages for academics, overall aptitude tests etc and evaluate them.

If a person from a very backward area wins 50 million rupees on a reality show,or can perform brilliantly in dance and drama, then why not education?Ambani's of reliance rose from rags to riches. So did many others .Did they ask for special privileges??

When the same guys contest political elections their brains work, right? They know how to manipulate various minds and seek votes, make tons of money through scams, wriggle out of the tightest of situations etc, then how come only when it comes to getting admissions that they need special concessions??On the other hand the open category people then start seeking ways to change names and get false caste certificates and call themselves the backward class just to get the advantage of reserved category due to sheer desperation. The deserving students who miss their admissions due to 1% or less are the ones that get driven to the ultimate desperation- suicide.

Do you want to be treated by a Doctor who just scraped through his exams and managed to get an admission purely as he belonged to the backward class???What if he fails to save a human life? What if a building an engineer from the similar class who builds it, collapses??Do we give him concessions there to just because he is a Dalit ????

Lets take this up seriously and prevent the Mayawati's not create a divide or else soon we will have UNITED STATES OF INDIA WITH 200 STATES!1000 CASTES AND SUBCASTES AND A RESERVATION OF 99% WITH ONLY 1% FOR CATEGORY LIKE OURS.

Virtual connect

We have a big social network so to say, be it the virtual world or the actual reality.FB,Orkuts, Google pluses and so on.How many of these members are really your true friends? Many may have time to gossip and latch on because they are vella( the couch potato syndrome) or may be they love to have their views plastered all across the virtual walls to make a noise and make them visible. Some like to pass a comment just because they accidentally happen to see the post or happened to be on FB especially during the wee hours.

Many of them may be friends so that they meet and drink and pass time .Few of them would be colleagues, ex colleagues etc .A majority of them are related and make comments narrating every minute they live which surprises me to the extent they wish to make their life an open book.Exchanging information and updating people is good no doubt but what are friends for?

A friend in need is a friend indeed. Those who stand by you through thick and thin and relate with you on a platform that you can understand him without he or she having to reveal their soul.Casual talk, fun and gossip is good but to really assess and get a few good friends in life is like owning a Kohinoor diamond and take pride in associating with him or her that makes you worthy.A man is known by the company he keeps.

I have a group of friends since 1977 and we take great pride in the association we , our wives and our kids have all these years and don't honestly need the FB'S to connect. We have studied together, then branched out into different streams, moved to different locations across the world, but still connect in person and catch up with genuine intent. No expectations. Each of us is well off in relative terms and irrespective of the global location and professional stature we connect at par. Making social contacts across the world , yes FB is fine. When you connect to someone on the net ,he may be just another opportunist who knows. He benefits from you or your circle. He may take advantage of your views or contacts. He may end up being a good virtual contact but would he be a true friend?I don't know. Can we really get true friends over the web?

V I P

When VIP politicos travel ,the city gets into High gear. The ever sleeping municipal corporations suddenly realize the need to work and do patch work. The road sides get spruced up ,the holes get filled up, the police come out on the roads and behave like cops for a change. The biggest drawback is that it is great inconvenience to the common man.

The streets are blocked, traffic held up or diverted, the indiscipline in the people comes to the fore and jams increase on those roads where the entire traffic is diverted. What a mess for 1 individual.Does that so called VIP ever look out of his window when he travels??He is invariably discussing politics with some colleague and whats the point in beautifying the city for a day when he doesn't even glance at it.Allowing it go back to the dogs is the worst situation!!

Humbug and hypocrites all of them.Mr.VIP please assess the ground situation and inconvenience you cause when you travel.

Highland trekker

On a cold wintery morning on 17th January 1962, the evening of a Wednesday I stepped out into this world.Very faint memories of the city of Pune where I was born, but proud to be a puneite. The beaming faces of my parents must have been a sight to watch especially after a gap of a decade between me and my elder brother.

My parents both hailed from a simple ,traditional family and in spite of my grandfather being a Chartered Account in those days and having the materialistic back up to give my father an advantage to give his life a head start,he opted to step out to pursue his own dreams and make a career and stand on his own two feet without obligations. This was a big lesson to me and my brother and will always make us proud that we live it every moment. No one except the almighty makes you, its you and your drive, passion and willpower that takes you through the thick and thin of every day life .Dad earned his own living selling home made butter cycling miles to reach out to well to do people who would buy that and he in turn would create some backup for living through that day.He went to the traditional gymnasiums, not the gizmo, hi tech latest Gyms of nowadays, but was taught the survival techniques through the art of boxing. As he had a towering personality,he caught a lot of attention from his admirers ,mostly from the opposite sex. His presence in the vicinity of the block where he stayed was enough to discourage any hooliganism or eve teasing and that led him to be extremely popular amongst the young and the old alike.

Going through the hardships he had met my Mom and it was love at first sight. She came from a big family with 7 sisters and 4 brothers and they were aware that post marriage it would be navigating the steamer of life through choppy waters. With bare necessities and a place given by a friend of my dad, they carved out their future beating and standing up to the hardships in life. With little or no money to spare and trying to use every mean in the book of life without compromising on principles ,they bought us up to where we are today.

Narrating the stories of their life, Mom in particular made us feel proud of the fact that all said and done we are the jewels of their lives and that there is nothing more precious to them however uncut we may be.The value would be created by the weathering that would happen when we face our own lives and it would be of great pride for them to watch us become the High Carat jewel with the finest cuts and transparency any jeweler would love to own.

Today ,I have lost my parents and all that remains fondly are their blessings and teachings. There were differences, there were good and not so good times, emotions flared and every bit taught me something that made me extremely grateful to them. Its that time when you have traveled a long way in pursuit of your own goals without compromising on the principles laid down by them, makes you feel great.Today we have all that they would have dreamt for but we don't have them. They ensured that we get those and they would feel proud of that. The most important think they taught us was to have our feet firmly rooted on the ground and not take off by the fatal attractions that mar your work-life balance and give you the false impressions of princely lifestyles and materialistic pleasures.I drew a line and decided this is what I have and what my family needs where i can be happy .The decision of giving up and learning in life at every step has made me thank my parents a million times. They trudged through the troughs and rough terrains to create a path for us to reach the highlands where today I would even love to live life with a backpack.I would love to reveal the various learning's in my life as i go on and share them with the world which could be of help or at least translating what my folks taught me.

gourmet shock

The obesity quotient in the US is very high, especially in places like Detroit. What i see there and on TV in many cookery shows is the amount of food that one dumps in the bin if not found to be OK as per the show standards. Now!Food has to be consumed based on the capacity one has ,and going by the norms your stomach can accommodate food as big as the size of a closed fist.( That's the maximum one can ingress at any one point). How ever we see the contestants or the people at large waste so much of food that could be useful to feed a few 100 mouths. Why don't we think before we take the quantity on the plate we wish to eat out of?

The Masterchef USA on which (apart from the F words and cuss remarks) the food dumped is really sad.Agreed one has to be competitive and all that ,but that doesn't mean what's prepared is not edible !!I see the same in many Indian Weddings and parties where we don't respect the food and allow it to go waste.

Hope people change and provide more food to the needy and reduce the stress on farmers to produce more and more to meet the ever increasing mouths waiting to be fed in this world.

being human

We have agencies that provide security to provide cover for say the VIP,s and also secure the perimeters ,be it the country or the factories or the residential premises.
One invariably tends to negotiate with them till the last penny and also charge hefty penalties as per the clauses in the SLA's.

Now comes the biggest issue. The guards providing this are invariably retired army people, or people looking out for low paying jobs due to lack of qualifications ,or maybe simply as means of survival. They cycle all the way from their homes kms away to the place of work at all odd hours because of shifts and have little or no monies to support themselves leave aside their families!!!. The same people are suppose to take care of millions of dollars worth of property, and in event of any loss they are blamed.A few have a decent pair of uniforms ,maybe shoes and socks and a salary that comes may be 45 days late. They are many a times made to stretch duty hours to 12-20 hrs at a stretch and we expect them to deliver high levels of efficiencies? The person may be starving, have lack of sleep, physical conditions may or may not be supporting, and last but not least the mental alertness is probably zilch. If he doesn't receive even his salary in time then imagine what service quality will he provide ?

Why are we so inhuman and irrational??Just because you can afford to earn in tons you want to negotiate and save every penny when it comes to guarding your wealth and expect that to be an Alcatraz fortress? Treat the people with dignity, they too deserve some respect and last be polite and rational and stop expecting the world from simple human beings without stepping behind their eyeballs. They will do their best even in the most stressful circumstances.

Charity for life

Have you noticed that most of the times when one visits a religious place and you are all set to impress upon God how good and generous you are ,you rummage through the wad of notes in your wallet to look for the smallest denomination coin or note to dispense with in the donation/collection box.

Now isn't this the limit? We are all the children of god and we have what we have due to him. When it comes to give it back to him ,what he gave us , we start filtering and rationing,The real true soul is the one that is able to part with the whole even if it were to burn a hole in his wallet.Practically speaking as my Guru told me " if you can part with 30% of your earnings for any form of charity it would be ideal" in this practical world.I have experienced one thing, you try doing this and it will never ever make you suffer for want of money to sustain yourself.

The gratitude you show and the complete surrender to his wish is the ultimate happiness one can experience.Notice one thing in life.People who run colleges, cater to food and clothing, doctors and hospitals, normally do well as they are the ones that do good to society. As much as you contribute to this world ,it gives you back .

kolaveri-d

What a concoction and an e-rage that has caught everyone's imagination. It only goes to show that a few "vella"guys hanging around and humming a tune end up coming with something that makes everyone situp and listen.

Is it the sheer stupidity of the lyrics? Is it the way the current generation is able to associate itself and its thoughts with the rhythm or the situation of the song?
Is it the Tamil pronunciations of 'black(a) ,white(a)" that attracts the gray cells?

Whatever be the reason this song is doing wonders and makes you hum for sure.No doubt the real composers and lyricist get annoyed that they have to put in hours to make a song whereas these bunch of guys come and go like a gale. One thing for sure the hinglish element, the stupid lyrics like"mein zandu balm hui darling tere liye" become a rage with the current lot and its only going to get worse.Gone are the days where one had sensible lyrics that remain evergreen.

So there is an opportunity knocking at all doors ,don't wait but pick up any damn vessel in the Kitchen, collect a bunch of lazy, idle friends or neighbors who have nothing much to do and make a noise----that could win you the next Grammy award who knows?

Dirty picture

What a movie,I say!!!Sounds like a dialogue from the South Indian Movie Hero/villain.

I admit the way this topic and the screenplay has been handled is definitely a class apart. The evolution and demise of a strong woman characterized as SILK ,based on a real life starlet who rose from being a non entity to almost a superstar.

The dialogues are crisp and the editing very slick so much so that the actors involved have lived through each and every character and brought it out live on screen.

Vidya Balan is awesome. She is so comfortable doing this role and the versatility shown by her is a class apart.I am not a critic or a movie review writer but it is one of those movies that kept you engrossed till the last scene for sure.Paisa vasool in the terms of the front benchers who saw the movies featuring SILK .

The truth is so bitter when one rises to fame and then unable to handle it and not knowing where to be assertive and where aggressive, come crashing down to be a loner and enter depression. The maturity required to handle fame, name and stardom is not with everybody. The sad part is trying to find your identity in this complex world at any cost is fatal. You keep things simple and they work out much better.

All said and done, hats of to Milan Luthria the director and Ekta Kapoor who I actually detest because of her soap on Indian TV about "Saas Bahu" which are sick. But here she deserves the 5 STARS thumbs up.Great work.

Most beautiful dirty picture ever seen.

gennext disconnect

Its become a very common issue nowadays especially where you hear about people getting engaged and married in a short span and then a few months down the road we hear about the cracks appearing in this relationship. The first tremors and then a conflict that fails to simmmer.

Why is this on the increase?

Is it because of the increasing pressures of the day to day life ?Is the ambitious drive both partners have and a desire to be someone and prove their independence the reason?

I see it more of impatience, lack of flexibility and understanding followed by all the above. The patience factor is definitely amiss!!Fast food, fast lifestyle, quick cash , and fast track actions is all taking the toll.

They must realize that marriage is a commitment for long term and not a draft to be en cashed the same day.The most important factor of understanding and giving things time to settle is utmost important. The quick and hasty decisions taken are many a times irrational and effect the lives of 2 families when the thread burns at both ends.

Hope the present generation give them enough inputs and trains them to face the next challenging task on the hands of the Gen next.

stoned

3 stones or may I say rocks worth 3.1 crore 1ndian rupees and god know how many carats, were donated to the Tirupathi Devasthanam in Andhra Pradesh by an unknown donor!!!

If we want to please God by display of wealth I think the person who donated this is thoroughly mistakened.Whatever he has is given by almighty and can be taken away whenever he wishes. Why do all these antics? What are we trying to gain?who is it going to be useful to?Does God demand the gold attire and crown encrusted with jewels etc??Are you trying to gauge god's worth or show your generosity?

Why not instead as I always maintain feed the needy, clothe the poor, educate the children, take care of people in Old age homes than hand over these "rocks" in the hands of trustees who are probably going to stash it away or siphon them away.

Please ,philanthropy is welcome but put it to use in a way that God would like when his own creations take care of the others who are deprived of even basic sustenance.

theory of relativity

In the Indian context, especially at weddings, THE THEORY OF RELATIVITY (Not the one Einstein established) is visible in full force.I am talking about the display of wealth and Egos.
The jewellery showrooms that are on display moving around in attires that are oozing with brocaded silk and gold threads and may be precious stones is simply amazing. The sheer display is nauseating at times and makes you wonder if they all are competing with each other in terms of who would be the most prized possession if one were to be kidnapped. The oomph, the eye shadows, the hemlines and the display of backless dresses are eye popping indeed.I wonder it might outshine the bride herself probably.
The display of mobile phones costing a bomb and the clutches and footwear those that are exclusive kinds are found on every square foot occupied in that venue. The mooah mooah and exchange of gifts that are to show if mine is better than yours is very very snobbish and snooty.
Have i got the best booze in town and the food that could feed the nation even if there were only 500 guys around!!This is where the law or theory of relativity starts.
Mine VS yours, big vs small, clash of the Armani vs D&G,YSL V/S ck and so on.
The typical talk"hi how are you? You look gorgeous!!Pat comes the reply which goes like this " I am fine and you are wearing a lovely dress!!How was your vacation to France? And so on and so on>>>>>>>>>
Good to get out of the artificial zone and get back to reality.

Full stop

We remember a person and his importance more when he leaves us and goes to the next world.I just got to know about the demise of a very dear friends wife and at a young age.It shocked me for sure inspite of knowing about an illness she was having. We try to prepare ourselves and yet it shakes you up.

Life for us continues with commas and dashes till the time we come to the FULL STOP.
What all we dream off and how we plan and intend to create value and wealth for ourloved ones and if the loved ones themselves perish, then what happens? The dreams crash, you stop believing in any powerful force called GOD and see that same value as hopeless.

The family with such close bonds and tightly connected get completely shattered by such situations. We all know it is to happen to all of us ,but when it comes and in a way not the same as we would expect it, then its even worse.

I had just spoken to my friend a day back and he faces his biggest challenge within 24 hours. He has to now take care of himself first and his only son whom he adores and his wife simply doted upon. The apple of their eye.

Feeling really lost and sad to loose such a nice person and see my friend fight it out all by himself.May god be with the loving soul and take good care of my friend and his family and give him all the strength to live life the fullest.God bless.

peace of mind

Was talking to my co-brother( my sister in laws husband) and was quite intrigued when he said " hey you know what?I am planning to quit my job!!I wondered why would that be when he ,though 5-6 years elder to me,and well to do, would say that.Pat came the reply"YOUR BLOG" influenced me to think hard and maybe take this decision.Phew! That scared me and i started scanning through all my blogs to investigate as to what triggered this kind of an emotion. He said" well it makes sense and he agrees on the points mention there in.

It made me feel nice for once as I could sort of think and write what makes sense to people. Its a question of expressing yourself. If you agree and make that part of your life ,well, its something worth experiencing in my opinion. Its a decision and if one thinks on the same platform,it is sensible. If you have drawn a line and decided to take this step and enjoy the rest part of your life the way you want so be it.You cannot have it all anyway can you?But yes getting away from that rat race will give you peace of mind and a better life to live in the last lap of your life.

mayday

What a costly error the NATO forces have made.Striking down 25 plus Pak soldiers is extremely sad.One is aware that when engaged in conflict errors take place, but these are outpost and could have been identified by the superior tracking technology the NATO forces have.

One cannot undo what has happened, but this must not repeat.Had this been the other way round what would be the reaction?NATO supplies thwarted and stern warning by pak to exist the airbase in 15 days is not going to solve the issue.

The Taliban waits for such opportunities.Pak is on sensitive grounds and are confused. Its gonna loose either ways.Exercising caution to the highest level is the only way ahead as casualties due to friendly fire is the last one expects. They need to eradicate the Taliban virus and need the NATO to purge these out.Without them ,Pak is weak.Issuing statements and asking for global support is secondary. The crux of the issue is stability in the region and controlled aggression with cordial relations between Pak and NATO.The world economy is in the doldrums and pak is at the lowest rung probably. This would be the nail in the coffin if not resolved.

tiny tots

Had organized a visit of 160 little school kids to see the showroom and Workshop of my Honda setup. It was extremely motivating and lots of fun for the entire team to get engaged at a different level. It was challenging due to the following reasons.
The questions the children asked and the information they have about various brands.Amazing.At age 6 years they are smart, new how to recognize the brand, color their cars and of course show it to their peers that they did better than the others:)) .
They walked around the workstations and saw the cars being worked upon as well as made my team think and answer questions that were meaningful indeed. Also got a chance to see the emotional connect human beings have when it comes to treating kids.My team did a great job in making them feel at home.
What mattered to us was creating 160 smiles that become our brand ambassadors for the future.

slapgate-Pawar play

Hats of to somebody who had the guts to express the real sentiments of the Indian public to the government representative, who better than the one and only Mr.Pawar-The union minister for agriculture.

All these people with crores of net worth do not feel the pinch of the common man. They don't have a clue what inflation is and how it kills the poor man. They are least concerned about rectifying anything till the elections come and mess up the only life a person gets to live. Then why not let people express themselves even though it may not be the best way to do so?

Democracy signifies,Freedom of speech, freedom of expression and action. What did that man do wrong then??People like Kasab slaughter innocent men and get to enjoy 56 crore Rs. of the Indian taxpayers money to live in a special jail and make all atrocious demands to which we give in.Pawar has earned himself every other post except his dream destination the Prime Ministers job.BCCI, ICC,Defence, proxy aviation ministry, chief minister, and what not.As per the grapevine miles of land parcels, mountains, colleges, schools, commercial setups, sugar belt and factories, and % investment in prime business is what Pawar is made up of.Is anybody able to estimate his real worth???I bet he could be the richest Indian on the planet.Lets see the CBI records for "benami" black money stashed up in Swiss banks!!

Baramati is probably owned by him...................

When will this end!!!!!

$ babies

The excitement regarding Baby-B,( Aishwarya rai bachchan's baby)that is making news and stealing the headlines is worth assessing.

Imagine you keep all the announcements close to your chest during the pregnancy phase, gag the press under" respect privacy norms",let not any photo appear due to superstition etc. When finally it may appear that the baby's snap was sold for a few million dollars to an agency in the UK or US.If the junior beckhams and brad pitt's can command a price tag of 3-4 million $ then this is the Emperors grand child.

I would certainly hope that a person like Amitabh would not do such a thing. He has tons of monies locked up, still earning a phenomenal amount on all fronts practically and when 2-3 generations of his can live in peace then why auction the new born's photo?

If superstition is the issue its even worse as all that happens is destined and he is aware of the same. Why hide it so much.Be a bit flexible Big B and let us not down. Please for heaven sake don't make the child a commodity at the word go.It would be sad.

meano

Help the world, understand their issues, try to give them solutions and people remain ungrateful still.

we Have a whiner in my office, expressionless face and needs to be reminded about smiling which is evident after a big weight is pulled off from both sides of the lips.Ask anytime and there is a sob story to tell ( wonder if its always present with only certain people).

Then comes a request for financial help and interest free loans to bail them out of situations that they themselves have created.Imagine studying abroad with a loan.Coming back to native India and then working for a measly salary what sense does it make???To settle the loan, borrow again through easy routes like the generous company like ours, use that stating quick repayment etc. When the work gets done, start the demands that the job profile is not what she was looking for( after 1.5 years she realised that),then comes the blackmail stating my salary is low and if I don't get the raise I will quit.In due course the annual revision comes and one finds out that she got the standard raise to keep her quiet for a few days.

When it comes to productivity ...sad story. She has time to flirt with the guys around inspite of her dad having financial issues back home, she is unable to utilize 9.5 hours a day to submit even an excel sheet report which requires only 30 minutes. When she gets pulled up for this back comes that frown and the weights add on to the lips that drag them to the floor.

Now she comes over and says i wish to stepdown for personal reasons.

I am so happy .Better late than never.Love to hate such people.A complete drag on the system i must say.

raging bull

The symbol on wall street where people flock to take snaps and I see a few trying to get under it( literally)to catch the bull by its..........horns:))
Look what it has done to the million world wide.

The peaks and troughs of the Wall street are as bad as an ECG of a patient with a cardiac arrest. This is really a roller coaster that has taken many people running for cover and looking for alternate solutions to create a future.

I fail to understand these pundit who blah blah on Bloomberg TV and Financial times projecting growth and trends that make wild U turns in the exactly opposite directions. These statements are pure projections and people follow them blindly at times. These so called experts have answers to keep you confused as to what and why they projected the trends that ultimately proved wrong. What happens to the monies that get wiped of the computer screen in seconds.

In India its a Black Monday.Sensex dropping 1900 plus points in the past weeks. Why?Euro crisis!!Every one knows.Fuel prices, Struggle in Libya and Syria, Spanish Toledo and Greek debacle?????Obama and his elections are round the corner, will the Dow go up????Japan is hit by an earthquake again will the Dow go down????

Gold goes up due to marriage season demands in India. On one side our gold buying has been valued in terms of earnings as a big bright figure for India and its financial position and on the other hand our fiscal deficit is revised 1 percentage point upwards as a % of GDP.WHAT ON EARTH ARE WE DOING?????????????????????.The rupee at its lowest against the Dollar at 52 is draining many a export import firms.

Imagine a public sector bank announcing in the front page advertisement for unfixed deposits at 8-9% returns for 7-180 days.....but then a small line below says for 100 Million Indian Rupees as the minimum amount only.Interesting!!!!

A handful of smart asses are controlling these avenues and ripping of the rest of the stupid community. The Govt. has no clue.We will never learn.People will still keep putting in Equity. And life goes on..............

road rash

The bike industry is booming in India. The missing links of High end bikes are being now fulfilled to vet the appetite of the ever Hungry bike fanatics and enthusiast who just can't have enough.

The Hyabuza, BMW's,Ducati's, Yamaha and honda, and of course the Harley s are all crowding the streets and taking the share of the pie of what was a 100 -150 CC dominated industry thus far.

Now one sees the roars of the 750 and 1200 cc gas guzzlers on the streets of India.
This is also becoming a hazard as the rich kids of the blocks become blokes and do all the crazy stuff on the dangerous Indian terrains which are unpredictable when it comes to hi speed chases.Bunking lectures and speeding down the high ways or roads to win a few bucks they end up loosing their limbs or with a one way ticket to heaven.

With such bikes one must have a sense of responsibility and if that doesn't come these are going to fast become riding coffins.

When i see bikes Zoom past me as if they were in a video game its scary. We too had our fast adrenaline rush and bike rides to show off on the streets ,but never a road rash. The Cops must take a quick call on this activity and freeze these kids or else they may end up reducing the population for India.

Azar lost his young child and reading that news people still don't wish to learn

Give n take

Early morning hours, nice chill breeze and a slight haze outside made me get out of slumber.Just when i noticed that at a slight distance i heard a puppy bark.It was faint initially and then it grew as the pup came close to my house.

Small ,cute fluffy black coat and had white dots on its paws that looked like socks.Poor thing was feeling cold, abandoned and definitely hungry. My wife quickly fetched some milk and it gulped it all up.So hungry was the poor thing that its tummy after being full bloated and it tumbled back on its booty in a very funny fashion.

Out came a few Samaritans and were curious to know what all the noise was about. One was asking us" oh is he hungry?".I almost said" hang on let me ask him and find out:))
Then she went in and came with a small piece of bread stating"you know i have milk but its cold and not warmed up so may be bread would do."Hmmm!!!!Give whatever you have, except excuses in my opinion.

Its such a great feeling feeding the animals trust me, be it a cow or a dog or anybody. It gives you immense satisfaction.Try that out any day.I am sure you will feel the same.Just pat them after you give the food and its a divine feeling.

Share what you have and take back so much of happiness which can be shared with others again. This will make your day come alive.

Sensationalism

This is a good way to attract eyeballs especially when you are getting around the age of 45-50 or so.The want and desire to write biographies and make sensational statements that create huge controversies and then let the newsrooms do the overtime trying to feature that on every telecast as breaking news is something.

Take the cricketers especially the likes of Imran Khan,Greg chapel,Shoaib Akhtar etc who love to take a pot shot at Tendulkar to increase their book sales. Then we have the loud mouths like Vinod Kambli who wake up from slumber and decide to court controversies and be in the limelight one fine day.Utter nonsense.Such cheap gimmicks.

Rakhee Sawant-Oh jezus( the way she says) and that "I am the daughter of the media" or act rubbish on TV and people and media lap it up.

Our own Shahrukh cannot sleep if a picture or news about him doesn't appear in print or any other media every day...............whew!!!!!!!Then be it Ra-1 and Amir saying something or his trouser or his dog or his close encounters with the real 'emperor " of Bollywood-Big B.

success

Its a relative term and I personally believe it varies for every individual.
If i compare myself with my own graph and use that as a benchmark i can measure success relative to my status. So if i set myself a goal be it personal, financial, professional for the next 12 months and work towards it ,then the % achievement would determine the success.

Comparing that with others only draws battle lines, frustrations, envy. anger and makes life miserable. If you want to be one of those billionaire's and waiting to be a multi billionaire ...great then have these for company-loss of sleep, 22 hrs working per day, no time for family, and stressed out life. All this for whom if you don't live to enjoy it.

Alternatively ,one can set simple goals, reach them while you have a good work life balance and treat your self to the small pleasures that you can enjoy 200% than the heavenly pleasures that you just skim through.

bangers

Hmm don't get whacky Ideas in your mind by the topic. It signifies banging your head on the wall out of sheer frustrations that arise when we meet-The dumb, dumber and dumbest......all together.

It may appear like you have rolled the ball in the bowling alley and the skittles or nine pins are the dumbos and the reaction that may appear in an animated setup when the ball hits the nine pins is what I am trying to visualize.DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!

How hard is the skull that houses the brain that determines the IQ of a person?Must be the same for all humans broadly speaking ,right. Then why do some absorb, assimilate and respond sanely whereas some clunk, clang, bang, knock and recoil. It seems things just don't seem to get in there!!!

Well i just came across this and maybe I am creatively splitting vertically when i am writing this post.

If it makes sense to somebody , please do respond just to ensure I haven't lost it as yet:)))).It might just help me write my next blogpost.

Facebook followers......any thumbs up/likes etc??????

dal-bhad-ri

This is a term in my native tongue that means-a worthless, miserly person or a failure .If one were to picture they would wear flip flops and drag themselves making a scraping noise on the floor or any street as if the worlds burden rests on their shoulders.( It would save me my maids salary as i need not swab the floor if i call such people over to my house:))and make them walk around.

I came across people today who work with big petrochemical giants and have the privilege to have their house running on all cylinders with Husband and wife working at senior positions in the same firm and raking in excellent moolah over 22 years.

Now after all this what would one expect? A classy couple , well attired, a decent car and smart decision makers. But what i saw and got to know and see was this.

The lady dresses up in sarees that are in a sad condition while going to big functions, stays in a house that one has to measure the drive way to park a car and get out of it,haggle for every penny when it comes to discounts and the husband henpecked and not strong enough to even decide what "he" wants.

I presume it just runs in the blood and unless we do a blood transfusion they will never change. What a life???

If one owns a car that is 10 years old and piddly enough to challenge a beetle( the lady bug and not VW) and wants to stretch it for a few more years must be........the limit.

Come on guys grow up and live that one life God has given you to the fullest.

drag brag

The second set of people one finds in this world who brag and brag till they can be dragged on the streets and put in the center of an expressway where large truckers travel at 120 MPH and are fully loaded.

The way people huff and puff about themselves and their stories as if they are the only people in this world who make this thing run.

What a psychological disaster?

They remind me of Hot air balloons that are waiting to burst into flames and extinguish.
In North India we have the "black"attire which is presumed to be high street fashion and a party going animal .If you are dressed in anything else apart from that you are the "untouchables and aliens".Not a green buck in the wallet, all plastic monies and a BIG mouth that can consume the Rockefeller center.Eat big, talk big, drink large, and yap wherever you find a "gap".

Why do we have such pseudos in this world?I am sure all of you would have come across a few of these kinds:))

mutt

This is a word so apt to many people with all respects to the entire human race.

There are these set of people who in lay mans language are "DUMB"

Now i know its rude and one shouldn't be saying all this but today being the "worlds tolerance day":)) whatever that means in the current generations lingo these are simply duds.they remind me of the firecrackers that fizz out before take off and sink quietly with a whimper. We come across so many people in our lives who just simply put draw a blank on their face or react as if the only geometrical figures they know are lines and English grammar wise, question marks on their faces. How frustrating can it get.

The entire episode when you sit back and think of it doesn't make you laugh but in plain and simple terms make your gray matter commit suicide in your brain. If god made us all equal then how come some without formal education are smart and quick and others with education stupid and dumb.Grasping?power to learn and assimilate?lack or should I put not using the common sense( which is uncommon now a days). TRAINING, EDUCATION, PATIENCE ETC MAY TURN YOU INTO A PATIENT AND GET ADMISSION TO THE NEAREST ICU...............

Mutt sounds good and in my opinion if one has to work smart in this life time leave the mutts and save your self from High BP, diabetes and a possible cardiac arrest.

god and I

This is a small column that goes around in Times of India where TV artist, and others of the similar clan are asked a question;
What if you were to meet god?

OMG , OMG................( OH MY GOD)

I would put it that in this rarest of the rare scenario one would be so shocked that he or she would just not remember that moment because it would be sheer bliss........

People speak about tons of things but one thing every individual must ask is 'MOKSHA".ETERNAL HAPPINESS and release from these daily ordeals which you have to face as well as confront situations that lead to such circumstances.

dog day out

On my early morning walks i come across this situation where i see a few stray dogs rummaging through the dried leaves on the side walks or chasing the pigeons who tend to seek food nearby. They keep trotting till they reach their so called defined territory ends and then you see another bunch of canines doing the same and scavenging their territory.
The best part is 2 of these keep prying through the gaps in the main gates of bunglows hoping for some movement from the otherwise sleepy neighborhood. It makes me wonder , poor things wouldn't have eaten since a day probably, where do they get water, the heat is unbearable( 40 plus degrees centigrade) and no real food.
If someone chucks out a few morsels well and good , if not its a real dog day out.
Some of the smart ones scratch the door with their paws and create a small ruckus, and one smart fella actually climbs a car bonnet and then the roof to have a birds eye view to attract attention.

Please see if we can do our little bit to take care of these unfortunate canines .

(kalam)ity

What a National shame?
We will always be meek and dont have the guts to treat USA the same way. What a shame?

Our Ex- president, the 1st citizen of India , a scholar and modest , humble gentleman being frisked inspite of diplomatic immunity??Over and above this ,the US has the cheek to apologize later .It is like murdering a man and then saying sorry please come back to life!!!!!

We should have done the same to George Bush when he arrived here, or Bill Clinton for that matter........................We can also keep a sorry letter ready and send it 5 seconds later after frisking him.

Has any other senior politician of any country been mistakenly frisked in US???How come only Indians? Why because he is a Muslim? He gets frisked on board??????

Shame on you Manmohan and your entire bunch of spineless eunuchs ????

STORY AND THE BOTTOM LINE

Ask people about any situation or work given to them especially in India and you will get to hear the following:
Sir, i had done this and then that and then i told him and he said this an dthat and then they told me to do this and we did that and the story chugs along with no sign of the final outcome.People love to chew on such things and remind me of cows who ruminate.
Why on earth can't we make life simple for us?It is so irritating at times that you lose patience. If there was a competition in the Olympics or a record in Guinness book for most excuses given India I believe can beat any country outright.

mama's day out

What happens to a kid when he is under the wings of his mama inspite of a father for years and his height stunted because of the shelter and false sense of security he/she gets used to?

The kid especially the boy becomes a docile, panzy person at times, tends to get overly emotional and over dependent on mama for every step in life.He tends to act, behave , talk and walk like mama.He would watch serials on TV that run amok at the drop of a hat on cat fights between mother in law and daughter etc.He tends to follow the kitchen and cookery shows, start sobbing at the slightest emotional scene on the screen, gets bogged down and confused between the devil and the deep sea, unable to take a rational decision by himself.

Alternately if he is the son of a single mama then he could turn up to be a good fighter, spirited and ready to take on the world purely because of the circumstance his mama may have told him what she has been through. Its more out of vengeance, sometimes provocation and sometimes a desire to prove a point.

All these situations can become Bollywood screenplays for a blockbuster movie.Add some songs like " be my chamak challo" and people flock to see the movie rock and the panzy may become a rockstar or " have koffee with .....you know who on star TV".

pauper of good times

King of good times is what kingfisher airlines always claims,In spite of signals in the past where fuel payments were delayed and not paid leading to disruption in traffic and then subsequent JV with jet airways that made the headlines,we see a crash landing of the airline in not so distant a future.
Bailout package is the trend now a days since the USA granted 1 trillion dollars to revive the economy, every person feels he too can getaway with these demands.Rushing to cash in on a boom always results in a setback. We just don't learn. The internet bubble, the stock market crash, the real estate rock and roll and yet we do the same mistakes.

Exotic locations, bikini babes, alcohol manufacturing and distribution network that rakes in millions, private islands, yachts and private jets, vintage car fleet costing a fortune, political clout as a Rajya sabha MP and still needs money to bail out???????????????????

Denying this on TV is stupid because there cannot be smoke without fire.

Mr.Mallya where has all that Moolah gone?Gone with the babes?

social network

Its such an essential part of your resume to be on FB or any of these social networking sites and getting linked up by the dozens is the trend as well as a measure to show the world how well 'connected" you are.

The moot point is who is then your friend? How much should one divulge about ones personal agenda? What are the fall outs and how bad the implications could be.

Its proper to share information useful to society in general, maybe pass comments and remarks that are generic in nature but not personal photos, information about how well you slept and what dreams you saw , or which school your child goes with photos of the innocent kid displayed all over. This might be hazardous keeping in view the cyber crimes and desperation of people at large.Unknowingly some information you may divulge that would be very vital and then it could be misused across the web.The addiction to these sites also is hazardous to health as well as personal security point of view.

Be cautious in the approach , have genuine friends and social and professional networking needs to be separated for sure.

MO JO

Wonder what these 2 words could be?Any guesses??Sound Chinese??

No its the in thing that is deep seated inside every Human being and it gets activated especially when it is crunch time or there are stakes involved. This is what i would call the eternal truth and happiness one really experiences. It is that moment when things just work your way ,based on a gut feel, calculated risk, a gamble, a hunch or plain blind dash. Its just that momentary split second decision that you take or an action you do that gives you that true MO..MENT OF JO...Y.(MOJO).
Its the moment of truth and one that you relish being in.

What a feeling it is and many of us have experienced it may on more than one occasion. It elevates your moods and takes you on a mind blowing trip without drugs. Its that adrenaline rush ,that sinking feeling is thrown out of the windows and you emerge victorious.........MO JO

Have many such MOJO in life and live every moment.Enjoy every second as if it is the MOJO second.Life will be a beautiful place for one and all....

c i d

The detective serial on Sony TV goes on for years and years in INDIA( NOT THAT WE DON'T HAVE ANYTHING ELSE)and ultimately lands up on the dissecting table of critics like me who love to shred everything apart which is very much in line with the plot of CID.......INVESTIGATE.
One wonders how this can go on endlessly for over a decade.Well!!The ACP( Asst.commissioner of police) Pradnuyman character remains at the same designation without promotion all these years and with his bullish( or should I say bull-doggish) approach solve all crimes and go yet go un recognised for years. Wow! .That is a lesson in management ,as how to be self motivated without promotions.May be the suits and fancy ties that he is given to wear in every episode might be the incentive.Hmmmmm....maybe the other chaps assisting him are incompetent and hence he has to wait for one of them to take his place so that he can go up the ladder.

Now the script. The plot is good keeping in mind that they are probably true stories, inspired stories etc but the screenplay is so kiddish and people like it???????

On theother hand look at say criminal Minds the series or Bone collector etc they are so tech savvy, fast, smart edits, innovative and we go the flintstones way!!!!The temperature outside may be 40 plus degree centigrade but our hero will always be in a suit and on the site all the time when one wonders if he does operations and strategy then why have so many people in his team. Its not cost effective.
Then comes that fancy postmortem lab.......it reminds me of those kid movies where we show the magician in a den with blue, pink and red lights trying to get some strange concoctions of smoke and crazy liquids.Grow up guys...................

Ah yes I forgot the element of spice girls in the investigation team those are hot.I mean the skin fit jeans and waist coats do save money but must be very uncomfortable when one does murder investigations with all those corpses around.I would rather be at a Halloween party and wear them.
Last but not least the audience in India...hats off they lap up anything that looks, feels mysterious and emotional and presented in all technicolour frames..................what a country.Unique in itself .

chinese checkers

Modi and his game of chess continues to hog the headlines. He really gives jitters and keeps everyone guessing as to what is going to be his next move.Great Grandmaster of the game.Modi and the art of Chessing:))
He has decided to enter the Chinese bastion for a 5 day tour and that has sent jitters down the business community in India, especially Gujarat.Typical Indian mentality, panic before it even takes off and we end up getting BP and diabetes because of what china will do next rather think of innovative ways to outsmart them.We always cry about subsidies etc extended to the Chinese manufacturers, but please do remember the smart ways they adopt to have the same product in 5 or 6 different qualities and they are quick in delivery and on the dot as far as commitment go.Why worry.?
Welcome them on our turf and beat them.Home advantage in cricket, have we forgotten??
Common guys get smart and show the dragon that Modi has just entered the great wall when he burrows it he will ensure that Gujarat gains and so does India.Keep watching.Oodles of Noodles and Chopsuey but dished out by our Gujarati with Khakra, Khaman and Jalebi that will overpower the Chinese preparation. After all the Master chef is MODI........

mobile jewellery showrooms

Looking at the photos of the Ambani daughter-in-laws attending a marriage decked to the brim with jewellery worth !!!!!!!!!! set me thinking.Do we need to display such extravagance? One can be nicely decked up and attired which adds class and displays the right high society image if that is what is asked for.
In the current day scenario where people are struggling due to inflation and price hikes etc do we need this?Donate one necklace and it could fund the annual budget of CRY.
Similarly the Hindujas displaying 100 Million pound 6 storeyed house next to Buckingham palace!!ANTILA the house of Ambani's was unoccupied till recently and lets see what happens to this.
I agree they have the right to spend the money that they have earned but it can be done modestly in my opinion rather than this atrocious display.

czech it out-Nazdravi

In the beautiful city of Prague while we can appreciate the monuments, the weather, the beautiful landscapes and the lovely ladies who are the best in Europe one needs to take a closer look at the youngsters. The breakaway from the eastern block and the sudden exposure to the capitalistic west and Euro zone has led to confused signals that the gen next doesn't understand. They want to test, taste, explore and dive into all the attractive baits thrown at them.Being exploited for their skilled .cheaper labour and the passion for beer and automobiles it is giving the neighbors a chance to squeeze the juice out of the Czech people.I think its important for the present generation to quickly assess the change and help bridge the gaps .Its important to learn the do's and dont's and take a quick grip on the youngsters before they drift.Opportunities are there but they come with the hidden dangers.
Czech pan and pani. . . . Nazdravi.Keep your traditions alive while you blend it with the rest, . . . Not necessarily the west, and certainly not the best. This alone will maintain the unique identity of the Czech people and Becerovka.

smart move

Mr.Modi the magician.Hats off to a chief Minister of Gujarat who is a visionary in the true sense and being a Gujarati at heart knows how to attract the bees to the hive and deposit all the honey.
Japanese, USA and french dominance in the state in the automotive space already done, now he targets the Koreans. With this the major global volume players are all in the kitty.
He then goes ahead and declares the largest Buddha statue at the site near the Suzuki proposed investment and add that religious harmony to the professional gamble.Well networked offices, high security gadgets, paperless offices, fast decisions and individual involvement where required is the key.
He is a great statesman indeed.I wish all politicians keep aside their difference and learn how to be like Modi and make this country a better place.
Great Show........Maybe promoting foreign languages like french , Japanese and Korean will increase the employment opportunities.

vodka sublime

What on earth has happened to the Russian dominance or the impressions that use to be on the world map. USA having lost its sheen its a good time for Russia to play roulette or else the dragon will breathe fire.
China still hides things behind the curtain( though not Iron anymore). They are pacing fast across borders and using every opportunity to be the next superpower to reckon with.Be it outer space, missile and technology, naval frigates, high speed maglev trains, and the yuan.If Russia doesn't use its clout based on the oil reserves and technology etc especially in the nuclear arena be in civil or armed, it will be done with.
It seems the US is struggling to fight its own recession and economy, euro zone is in dire straits except for the facade, India is meek and will only EXIST!!!its only Russia who can keep that claw grip and not allow a free run to the dragon. This is required for global stability.

ungrateful

All kinds of people in this world. Some who have basic pay scales to survive , slog 12 hours a day and maybe aspire to be someone in life.

We have a set of young sales people who earn a very small basic salary and a chance to earn twice the same amount in variable incentives. They are encouraged , motivated and given all sorts of boosters to ensure they are pepped up always.
Now comes the hidden arrogance.2 of them were selected for good performance and were awarded a 16gb apple ipod as an incentive. If one looks at it it would be a dream run.If not atleast something that may be 1.5 times his or her basic salary .
One of them a lady comes back after 2 days and says: actually i don't want this , instead i want a phone( a blackberry)!!!!!!

The second one had the cheek to use that and come 8 days later and say " do you have the address of the place where you purchased the same?I asked why and pat came the reply " no actually the ipod is not charging and i wanted to go and return it!!!!!!!

You give them and inch they take away a yard is known , but not having the slightest hesitation to give it back to the company with no regrets is something I fail to understand. This was done in a big get together in front of the entire team when they were distributed to the 2 select employees when they happily accept it and later ............................???

Grind

Marriage is an institution "--- a phrase we use very often.
Understanding, bonding, adjustments, love, peace, happiness and joy is what we seek in this relationship. We go through stress and strain and yet with the mutual support survive and live another day to enjoy the fruits .Its like firing on all cylinders in the automotive terms.
But ...what if one cylinder refuses to fire or keeps working at his own pace and time oblivious of the outcome or resultant of the same.
Imagine a person who only slogs and loves his money and his fixed deposits?Doesn't care a damn about what his better half is going through while he runs after the money ,and lives on his own terms inspite of the marriage.28 years of marriage, 3 kids and being aloof from the household chores or responsibilities then why marry in the first place? Why spoil the lives of 3 innocent children, and his wife?
Today his wife is seriously ill with a 3rd stage cancer detected at a relatively young age and probably knocking the doors of heaven( god bless her). What is he going to do with all that money he craved for and ammassed?Spend for the medical treatment? He will now realise the importance of his partner and the grind she had to go through.Imagine when you have a marriage round the corner in 2 months , the first in the family and one is all set to have a go, the unfortunate happens!!
What happens when the grandmother gets to know about the seriousness of the illness??She herself at the age of almost 80 is not in so good health due to a mental torture at the place she resides!!!
Had there been simple peace , harmony and understanding in the family rather than the bloated egos and that craving for money .......maybe this situation wouldn't have arisen or possibly better dealt with today.
I am unable to voice out the pangs and pains of the family and others going through at this moment and only wish to let the world know that this and many such cases similar do occur and yet we don't wish to learn. What can one do in such circumstances for the kids ( the one who is getting married in particular), the youngest who is still in school and the son who is abroad working. The in laws and the mother who awaits to know the truth which has been kept away from her till now.Imagine the cascading effect of 1 person who triggered all this and stood there as a spectator ammassing money while the partner wore off literally .
Anger , frustrations, helplessness so many emotions clutter your mind and then we think what can be done now???

shah.......ruk( means stop)

The dropping jawline and sagging facial muscles ( fall outs of the steroids used for 6 and 8 packs)have taken a toll on Shahrukh( Ra-1) khan.
I wonder if one has achieved so much why keep on sticking on and stretching the career like a bubblegum? If you have 52 Crores to spend on marketing Ra-1 AND HAVE SO CALLED EARNED 150 CRORES IN 1 DAY THROUGH RELEASES ACROSS THE WORLD IN 5200 SCREENS THEN WHY WORK??????????????????
Spend your Ra-1 qualities else where and do much more to the people who watch your movies. If KBC made a little know computer graduate from Bihar earning INR 6000 per month into a billionaire make such more millionaires at least so that they in turn will create others.
Auction your clothes or donate generously to the charity organisations and live the rest of your life with no worries. You own a production house, you own a cricket team, you are supposedly a marketing whiz kid and yet crave to occupy every column centimeter there is in any newsprint or devour maximum footage on electronic media be it gaga or akon, till you almost throw up due to the excess. Why???
20 years aren't they enough?.Draw a line shahrukh.....kahi to jake ruk!!!!

kick butt

I am not talking about quitting smoking but actually seeing the state of the Pakistani cricketers who are awaiting a possible 7 year imprisonment for match fixing.
Butt and his colleagues have shamed the cricket world along with the bookie Mazhar and left the Pakistani cricket control board in a miserable state.
ICC has taken a great decision and the courts in London delivered quick justice.
Sadly when it comes to BCCI and India people go about pointing fingers and then go scott free to become Member of Parliament!!!!Wish we also cracked down and punished the guilty who ever it may be as the cricketers get tons of money from the game and endorsements .And if after all this they shame the nation they should be kicked in the butt and sentenced to prison in Andaman s.( Who knows they might make a team there too).
Spot or no spot they must be fixed and immediately so they don't fix anybody elses fate.Feel sad for the newcomers and good sporting persons from Pakistan who will suffer because of such handful of idiots.
Veena Malik over which our Indian Media goes gaga about is also one of the suspects and there is much more that might tumble out of the closet.May be Ekta Kapoor can make another short film like Love sex, and dhoka......terming it bat , ball aur Khoka( khoka is the slang for 10 million INR or 200,000 USD)
Big Boss season 6...............you have lots more to offer next year.........

buzybee

The growing viral issues and the weak immunity of our current generations is leading to huge business opportunities for the Doctors in general.

I saw the waiting room of a renowned doctor a few days back and was aghast to see the uncanny resemblance to a Indian railway station.People in general, patients, ward boys, medical reps, runners, interns and all crammed in less than 300 sq feet of space , that has a reception, the ecg room, the other clinical space run by his wife and furthur assisted by other doctors was simply thought provoking.

If i am a patient and i need assistance or medical advise and i go to a doctor what i atleast need is undivided attention for the appointment i have taken with the doctor( which itself is an ordeal) .If i go at the stipulated time and am made to wait for say 30 minutes beyond my time i say , oh i understand the doctor must be busy. When i get in there, i see apart from me another patient sitting and completing his checkup??
When i need private consultation for which i pay as well dont i deserve some dedicated time?Being busy yes but if the attention span is going to get divided i wonder if the treatment prescribed would be correct and the explanation or diagnosis is accurate.Because after all this if i spend money and get wrongly treated who owns it???

I am talking about a renowned doctor, well qualified and experienced who also runs a hospital.People still troop in and get treated there.

In India sab kuch chalta hai....meaning everything happens and works .

armed cricket forces

Seeing the likes of Dhoni and Tendulkar wearing army and Airforce fatigues and being named Lt.Colonel Dhoni and Sq.Leader Tendulkar etc is extremely funny.
Do we need cricketers to brand our armed forces??
Is it that it becomes an exchange programme at some point of time that while you guard my borders i go and play cricket for a change!!
It was Ok to fly in a Sukhoi and get your adrenaline pumped up or go meet schumi and sit in his formula one car but then wearing fatigues that the army personnel slog to earn cannot be easily dispensed with. The value of a cricket captain must remain as a cricket captain as that is his domain and vice versa.
Tomorrow who knows they might wear astronaut suits and be at (INNASA)THE INDIAN VERSION OF NASA:))or be additional commissioner of police or Dy.President of India as the Marketing Whiz kids might play around with , who knows??

point blank

Introspecting since morning and wondering what is our purpose in life from the time we were born. This happens especially when you see loved ones around you peel off like a dried flower or a leaf in the early years of life due to unexpected, unanticipated situations that turn out to be life consuming. What if one just draws a blank in life when all is going well and then it stops.......point blank. No tell tale signs , and it comes to you as a shocker.
We cry when we arrive into this wicked world, try to adapt ourselves to the environment, grow up with 100% innocence and fun in the toddler years and then start shifting gears to face the competitive world. We then try to use the energy and youth against an ego that keeps challenging you to show what you are to the world. You end up going flat out and burn your self up making money to get more money and eventually one day have all the luxuries but no time to enjoy.
If you do step back and allow yourself to set a limit , be it a personal, professional, financial goal let that be the point after which you settle down and pace down to enjoy what you have rather than end up on the hospital bed with your insurance claims settling the money and the medicines polluting your naturally healthy body.
What is the point if you have millions stashed away and then you draw a blank in your life may be in the early years.
To me I ask my self where do i want to set the goal. For theoretical purposes i follow these points below:
age : 70 years------Maximum, no regrets in life, no burden on anybody, thank god for giving me this opportunity.
House: a basic shelter that can save you from the rough weathers with no add on accessories to impress others. Its my home, anyone wants to join feel free but this is what it is.
food: 2 times enough to survive and enjoy the day.More you eat , more the complications.Give your digestive organs some time off.they are overworked with no bonus, no incentive .Therefore they can decide to go on strike...
Money:How much is enough??????Its never enough!!!!But honestly if 2 square meals , a house of your own where you need not pay rent,a set of good genuine close friends and relations who could be of help on a rainy day is what one needs.
Ego: negative-------do you want to show the world who you are or enjoy what you are?
Property and investments: For your next generations don't worry, they will build their own as you cannot take them with you neither will they have peace of mind if you give them a share that is unfair.
Bottom line: Live this moment and give as much as you can .........you never know when all that you have can be taken away at any point.

carwars

25 cars to a 1000 is the existing penetration in India of car owners as against 825 per 1000 and 1012 per 1000 in advanced countries. So all the big guns drive into India to cream the cow and make more money under the pretext of employment and value transfer etc.The main objective underlining that is of course pass of all those dollars as repatriation back to the mother company based out of Germany or US and what ever is produced in India at cheap labor rates is exported out of the country. For example Nissan puts up a huge plant and exports 90% of its produce. So what does India gain?Others are more into the domestic number game like Suzuki and Hyundai who control 75% plus market in India. They are adding capacities and churning out cars , putting them on the over crowded roads and an infrastructure bursting at its seams , thus creating chaos.SIAM the sole body responsible for the projections forecasts 18% growth at the start of the fiscal and then now it has dropped down to 2%?????.Who will make the production and capacity adjustments???All other markets except India and China have stagnated.Where does one export?Investments are done or in the process of being done in India,e.g Gujarat is fast turning to be the Detroit of India with the likes of Maruti Suzuki and Ford, Peugeot and Tata all setting up a capacity to produce 3.5 million vehicles per annumn , which incidentally is more than what is sold in one calender year in India by all manufacturers!!!!!.
Does one keep track of the jams and basic amenities and infrastructure upgrades to accommodate this volume that is going to pour in.The way things fluctuate,be it interest rates, inflation, stock markets and fuel prices the Yo-yo in the Auto market will one day hit back at us.One needs to slow down introspect and check the parameters , lay down the basic rules and then move ahead, rather than fluctuate between a 18% and 2% growth figure that would make a lot of investments nonviable going forward. Our govt too is slow in acting at times and doesn't have a consistent policy in this direction especially when it comes to SOP's or tax rebates.

ga ga about what

lady gaga.......what on earth does she symbolize?
The weird looks and outfits and the way the paparazzi breathe down her neck and covering up every word she says is astounding.
In the Indian context how does she add value?
What does she emote or teach?Where does it take our youngsters towards?Do they really need these icons??
F1, followed by Metallica and then the ga ga to wrap up the biggest event of the day is this what is the trend that's gonna be seen as we move ahead.I think we can do anything stupid and crazy to be in the limelight....be it our own version of Ra Sa( rakhee sawant) and her antics and now Ga ga....................I would like to understand from the so called fans ,as to what makes them go Ga ga over such characters?
Atrocious dress sense, vampire looks, and talk about Indian women and their eyebrows ......sad really sad.
People wearing dresses made of Octopus and sea weeds??????????????????????In Vogue may i say??????God save this place and drive sense in people especially the gen next.

F1 fever

5.1 kms, 16 turns and the screeching tyres of the F1 cars burning fuel and rubber in Noida at the Buddh circuit is something which India has achieved in a long long time. Its come a long way and hope this takes India into a different league with the likes of Schumacher and Button, rubbing shoulders with Tendulkar and the Bollywood glitterati.
What i only wonder is who is going to pay the Millions required to maintain this circuits and prevent them from being vandalized,or misused and not let them rot as was the case during the Asian games infrastructure. We have the CWG and now F1 all happening steadily moving towards hosting the Olympics eventually.Let that not be a reason for the hungry politicos to weave another scam and mess things up.
India is on the fast track and makes you feel proud to be an Indian.

dig.....vijay. . . . dig

The congress party General secy for 10 years( no promotions!!!), CM of madhya pradesh for 10 years and the distorted sound box or should I say His masters voice is Mr.Diggi.He keeps digging and unearthing things as if he is sitting on them and at periodic intervals keeps shooting his mouth of in all wrong directions and making a mockery of the political system as well as a movement called Team Anna.If every one starts digging up history so many skeletons will tumble out.But if if look within and try to clean up the mess made by his so called "brother" Kalmadi and his CWG scams just to name one, he has a lot more constructive things to do than create a media hype about all small issues that are irrelevant in the relative hypocrisy and corruption taking place. The Raja and 2G scam is another big one.
The congress party seems to be using him as diversionary tactics and the public gets fooled. This is like buying time to think and prepare a defense to the multiple scams they are embroiled in.People of India Wake up, we need a clean and corruption free environment and if we dont have any person who can stake a claim at that then select the best amongst the worst .If not get presidential Rule or Military rule for a few years to set things right.Hopefully it might set a new course.Good or bad ....time will tell.
Atleast we don't have buffoons like him talking crap every day and trying to create a mess of the already chaotic situation.KEEP DIGGING DIGGY ONE DAY YOU WILL FALL INTO THE PIT YOU HAVE DUG..............

back gear

I came across this modest person who owns a garage and repairs automobiles.he stepped out of a small suzuki 800cc car and introduced himself.splashed all over his car were the sentences"guiness books of world record to be broken",driving 40000kms in reverse gear on the roads of india .this record was created quite a few years ago and is now going to be attempted by him in february 2012.he has been practising for days and i had the previlege to move with him in reverse gears for just a few kms and i froze.the ability to maintain pace, accuracy, safety and the traffic is an art.the sheer patience and resolve shown by him is commendable.
He is looking out for sponsors and hope the auto enthusiast and the industry support him.
Wishing him all the very best and god bless.

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

Every Diwali the Indians go berserk. Its festive time and the Cities are lit up with beautiful sparkling light bulbs adorning the buildings , trees and every nook and corner almost. The traditional clay lamps are lit with the oil and wick and they set the horizons of each building wall. The whole atmosphere is charged and people look forward to make sweetmeats at home and nowadays tend to buy a lot of goodies , be it electronics, clothing, accessories and whole lot of gift wrapped packages to distribute to friends and families.
This however gets disturbed by the deafening boom of crackers and the senseless pollution it causes at all odd hours .People burst noisy crackers in residential areas which resonate so bad that the ear screens would shatter. This needs to be curbed so as to preserve the environment and also to save the sheer waste of money that could feed hundreds of families that gets blown up in smoke in a few minutes by way of crackers. The litter it creates is a nuisance for the sweepers who come the next morning to clean up the premise. The animals are petrified and go into a burrow. The Dogs hide below the cots and the birds disappear. The leftover carcass of the burnt crackers find their way in the tires of cars running over it creating good business opportunity for puncture repair units.Imagine a rocket screeching its way into your house and landing up in the midst of a get together at your house? It happens.
People are definitely changing but the pace is still not there. It needs to be done on a war footing and that would help India conserve the environmental balance. The winter is just setting in and that makes it worse as the Haze created in too bad for the lungs and the traffic in general.
Hope everyone across the world has a great Diwali that brings in prosperity, happiness and peace to one and all.

U-KNOW

Ever seen the interviews on TV of our cricketers and the dumb questions asked many a times by our sport journalist or enthusiast you may call. The answers that follow have a certain word that gets oft repeated............take a guess???? Do you know??no....u-know??
Ahh!! that is the word or phrase may I say.

The way the questions go for example: how do you feel now that you have won the series?
Answer: Well (you know)......duh!! do I know and if i knew why am I asking you in the first place would or should be my immediate reaction, right. But we continue with the answer and it flows somewhat this way....( well the boys played well and you know, the bowlers did their job and bhajji you know bowled to a plan. You know we will take one match at a time and you know that its not about revenge but we want to win all the matches in this series you know......................

Yes by now I know what a dumb guy I am asking questions for answers which i am already suppose to know.................

And this is telecast 15 times on 20 channels and the people you know simply love it......you know....No??? Hmmmmm!!! Then you better know .You want to be an excellent Indian cricketer you must KNOW-----U-KNOW.

I -squeeze

We in India have a very nasty habit in trying to fit into which ever space we find empty, vacant, irrespective of the inconvenience it may cause to thousand others. This is seen in our behavior while walking , driving, etc. The best part is the degree of impatience shown as if the world was coming to an end and that if you don't squeeze through its the D-day for you.
I was driving down the city road recently and the road ahead was narrowed down to a single lane due to some Municipal corporation road works.( That the detour signs etc don't exist is a different issue all together and even if they did ,using them appropriately is another one)seeing the traffic ahead slowing down you tend to keep the lane that is moving. This is the start of the catastrophe.Every Indian on the road wants to get into that slot at the same time and they HONK your ears of with deafening decibels of musical horns. Then come the 2 wheelers who given a chance would get on to the pavement, or the median and clamber across, the cars big and small pushing their nose in to sniff of the piddly 2 wheelers or smaller cars and shove them out .The net resultant a big standstill.
Now comes the best part, all the guys see the long queue and a few enthusiastic guys step out of their cars (no one else is in it) walk across to see what happened?
Others keep their Ac and music on and start using cellphones to make the most of the opportunity. The remaining are trying to weave a net around this mess by making way through any gap visible or even to the extent of going on to the wrong side.
In case in this chaos you do tend to scrape against another vehicle you might end up in a brawl that adds to the mess( irrespective of whether you are right or wrong) or else get a sheepish grin or smile without a sorry which is very rare.
To get out of your vehicle and start a fight is the single most popular sport that exists in India. If it means holding up a highway too!!!!
The COPS Where are they at such times? Well!!! You would possibly see him lost in this whole mess or blowing his whistle at everybody or anybody who might listen to him.If he is traffic volunteer then .............God bless!!!!!!Batons don't exist and for any cop vehicle to get there is a miracle unless airdropped:))

media intoxication

When a sportsperson starts doing well the media will shout at the top of its voice, telecast many hours of praise through the day and then drop him like a hot potato when the time is against him.
This leads to messing up the budding youngsters career and probably his stint with stardom. These young guns e.g Virat Kohli may or may not be matured enough to take those heaps of praise at one go and end up loosing focus on his bread and butter. If one or 2 seasons performance is equated with 20 years of a maestros career and comparisons start making the rounds that he would be the next sachin tendulkar, aren't we too early to make such comments? Why not just let him be encouraged to play on and be compared against his own stats year on year rather than compare with legends.
Journos please help create the right consistent spirit rather than the sudden doses of adrenaline and chloroforms.

creative suicide

While i do agree that advertising is the plank to promote and sell or market products,i do however have apprehensions about the way the messages percolate down to the youth in particular.Off late you see the creative juices of admen running wild be it the axe effect chocolate man,or the seductress in aamsutra the gray cells jog in the minds of this genre so wild that it leads to stirring up the carefully preserved tradition and values held in Indian families and end up discarding them for these wild ideas. The teenagers making a mockery of their elders,or showing high degree of smartness that tips the scales to being over smart many a times, projecting kids aged 7-10 years talking about swapping boyfriends etc.One needs to exercise some element of caution here .I am not against intelligent creativity but the message and tones especially when it is targeting the youth using the kids as a medium need to be monitored.

Wildstone, axe effect, flipkart etc do have undesirable effects on the minds of the masses. There can be better ways to get more eyeballs without arousing the sensuality.Bharat Dabholkar and Amul have intelligent take on such matters, and I am confident our creative geniuses can nail them.

D-day

When disasters strike they come in Tons which i would term as wholesale.
Look at the state of JAPAN and its because of the sheer resilience and will to fight back with a calm mind that the Japanese have been successful to overcome that. But what if these disasters strike one behind the other and in a systematic manner?I wonder if the fault line that shook japan and caused the cascading effect to shatter the nuke plants and thereafter the aftershocks and those that reached New Zealand and Indonesia causing Tsunamis and quakes that have a high Richter scale. This means the earth is being put under pressure and we are not willing to learn from that .Had Nostradamus been there he would be delighted to see his predictions coming true in some form or the other. The north and south poles melting , the reefs being destroyed with Oil spills , floods hitting China and India, typhoons hitting the USA, extreme weather conditions across continents.....is this the beginning of the end?
I just came across a news articles stating the car plants in Thailand are under floods, the Suzuki plant in India is under strike,US car markets in recession, and to top it the interest rates skyrocketing, the economy looking bleak, the growth rates stuttering where are we heading to?????
The best of economist and the astute politicians have no answer for sure. All they can say is that the gray matter of theirs is indicating the following response and all is well in the next 6 months!!!!!Who has seen this?Had anyone been able to predict all these calamities????
Lets introspect and do our bit to save this beautiful world so that the next gen can enjoy.

silvercrests

Had a good look into the mirror and noticed the signs!!!No, I am not talking about M.Night shymlans movie but the silver lining dotting around by head.I simply am enjoying it.Its a good transition from the flicks of yester years to the balding forehead and silver lining around the nape.Gives a false sense of maturity:))
I am probably one of those few guys waiting to turn 50 and have a sense of meeting a milestone in life. Its been a long trudge.Maybe comparable with an A380 airbus aircraft flying full load from Sydney to LA.

what I look forward to is all the Bonus points that are in store for me that i can possibly enjoy every day and living a full life with "NO REGRETS'.

Set the compass of life in the direction of almighty and keep moving ahead.I would like to do a lot in terms of training and coaching and lending a helping hand to the younger lot.I would if I could maybe write a book as was suggested to me by my friends and colleagues.Keep the heart young and let your creative juices flow to experience the mystical magical world of God and live every moment.I am trying to smile at everything that happens.Do all the things that please myself and make the world around you smile.I am confident of making that happen and I cannot wait to turn 50.Wow what a journey?

God speed

Years ago in 1993 I met my Guru , my guide, who actually is the anchor to my life post my dad's demise , I remember the day sitting in front of him with the adrenaline rushing through my system and wanting to accomplish every feat possible in this world.I sat there asking him stupid questions like " when will I own my own car ? and when will I go to the USA and when will I have my own home ?and he kept smiling at me.I wondered as to what was behind that smile? He calmly said, look I can see it happen at the right time,What is yours and written on your forehead is yours and no one can take it away from you.But if you keep jumping up and down and wanting things to happen in a jiffy then it will not be so.Also if you gonna sit there waiting for things to happen it also doesn't take place. He said , be focussed, have faith in one thing but so strong and unflinching that you never doubt the outcome. He said you have 4 racing tracks to choose from out of the 8 which i will tell you.You can select any that will take you to that goal. However each of those will have its pitfalls and you will have to go through it!!Are you ready?
That became my turning point.I did start believing my self and had so much faith in my guru Shankar Maharaj who took me through a series of short and long trips but trust me took me to this juncture where I have a sense of accomplishment, contentment and believe me all my goals achieved. It was some times miraculous in nature to think of something and that would become true.
I found myself connecting with my roots and aligning with people, relatives and friends who were and are the true and genuine ones.I don't like to socialize to show the world what I am, but spend time with my family and near and dear ones who accept me for what i am, as I am.Not for the materialistic side but the humane side.
Of late I noticed I can connect with animals!!True this may sound weird to a lot of you but I have ample evidence and occasions that can prove it.But as i said I don't have to prove it .Birds, squirrels, dogs, cows, camels and horses all of them at different locations and different point of time connect and converse.Wish I could help them more.My guru had said that as you move up on the spiritual ladder you will experience all kinds of intuitive behavior.Trust me this happens and I can assure you that it actually is in every human being. Its a question of harnessing it.If you sharpen the saw and step closer to the almighty with infinite faith , you will observe this phenomena.Your awareness increases around you.The freaky behavior and the immatured quest for being someone in life will automatically settle down.
I am an engineer and could have become a Doctor as i had the option of being one based on my academics.I moved to sales and marketing inspite of spending time working on lathes and assembling IC engines.I lived in small cities away from my family trying to build up a future for them for more than half of my life .I dreamt of all the things stated above and actually they started materializing 3-4 years from the time I met my guru.I went for pooja early morning at 0330 hrs every Sunday when the world use to party till the wee hours and paid my respects to my guru for 11 years .He made me calm and focused and taught me so much that eventually I had everything I wanted in life for me and my family .He also taught me the most important thing in life" how to draw a line". If you end up in a rat race trying to prove you are superman with wealth oozing out from every part of your body, you will realize that it has drained you out so much that you don't have the health to enjoy it anymore. Why then do we all stray like lost cattle?
I felt like sharing this with you all as it may help you .I don't claim to be anyone but would like to share my experiences for sure.I managed to meet the best of people , stayed in the best of places worldwide, traveled physically half the globe, and almost 3/4th of it by virtue of these blogs, and also modeled for a product with hoardings screaming loud at every nook and corner, starred on TV live as well as appeared in news columns and interviews.Had the opportunity to meet the President of India in his own house and spent a good 45 minutes with him. This is what was many time more than I ever asked for.It came and it happened.I owe every bit of it to my Guru and my parents who helped me become the person I am today.Feet on the ground and head on your shoulder you can carry any burden you ever face in life.My world today is me and my family.

Spice of life

The show must go on and therefore , each of us is in the struggle mode, surviving. I guess before birth we kick in the womb , probably wond...
