Habits...Die hard.Man is so accustomed to being caged in his habits that they become virtual prisoners and that too for years. This leads to so much of inconvenience to people around that they make simple things into complicated tangles.I have come across people who state that they attribute their health to the strict regime and time table they follow , come what may.For example, get up at 4 in the morning and may be start their morning rituals with prayers, yoga, and probably a walk for an hour or so.Now here they put the lights on and or some music( devotional mostly) but the people around who are sleeping at that hour, especially after a hard days work, start stirring in their beds. The morning rituals end up being a sore point when you are all set to rush to office and they want to have their bath even when they don't have to go anywhere at the same time.In event of you having a single bathroom, the time conflicts begin. Then they want a specific kind of tea with or without sugar and at a certain temperature etc which at times may have to be prepared separately .This causes a lot of disruptions especially when you are unwilling to budge from your time schedules and become stubborn.Even tastes, and smells, the quality of ingredients and the way things are presented start becoming hurdles for a peaceful day to day life of a common man. Some people are so finicky that they get on your nerves at times and create unpleasant situations that spoil a nice harmonious environment.
The food habits , low oil, low fat , low carb, etc makes you so low that one might get into depression .One must strike a good balance in life and that applies to this as well in my opinion.Extremists are not welcome in this world anyway.Sleeping habits and afternoon siestas also are the silent zones at home.Medications have to be followed as a time table which I understand. The entertainment zone also becomes a habit and we get accustomed to watching a certain TV channel, certain time only inspite of the same programs being telecast 3 times in 24 hours .Even if one misses it, they can follow the same next day at noon maybe. But, the schedule has to be maintained even if it clashes with other people who want to see some other programs .
If we break these shackles and get out of the mind games and the prison that ties us down and gets us into habits that can easily be broken it would be peaceful. That helps all of us to make best use of the time you have and how that gels with others schedules without depriving them of good times. Moreover these habits sometimes put us under pressure and add tensions to life.If we inculcate the habits of flexibility at a young age then we can contribute to making the world a better place as we grow up.Respect your own as well as others time.
