I happen to attend one of the network marketing seminars, of a reputed company that has now even started advertising on TV, which it never use to do for years.The push sales starts from ,convincing you to be a part of a group,without highlighting the brand, sadly,probably fearing that people may opt out by just hearing the name.The star presenter then presents the slides with such ease,as he or she must be doing it day in day out ,where the audience around you seems planted and plonked in strategic seats around new comers to give them a feeling of how successful each of them is.They term themselves with names and titles that remind you of the great kings and queens who wore those precious jewels as if they were available for free at road side vendors.They give great examples of Robert Kiyosaki , who indeed writes beautifully and opens the eyes of millions to the reality of assets and liabilities in day to day life.
Now ,the presentation ends and suddenly a list of the successful performers is announced and they are called on stage one by one to rattle down their story ,which is done as crisply as if they were wafers for tea.They go through that ritual , unnerving a few, confusing a few and making others think, wow, that's me in a few years from now.Most of these were people in the 30's and from IT background , surprisingly and claiming to have given up their jobs to earn 100,000USD and yet having time for them selves as they will.Wow , indeed.The catch phrase being,"Don't work for Money, make Money work for you".
The catch however is, the products are freely available on line as well, though they claim it other wise.They are mostly nutrients with a big ticket , and glamor kits for ladies, that one needs to sell by word of mouth.Thankfully, you need not invest your own money more than 100USD and only create members that will hopefully, eventually get you towards the 100,000USD you have aimed for.The book they give to read states," create your wealth and be successful without being Ray croc of Mc Donald, or Bill Gates and their franchise systems.They ask you to list out 3 things one would like to do in life , most of it being, MONEY,travel, and retirement benefits.What if you have the money, made good plans by investing in assets that make more money for you ,have traveled a good part of the world, and wish to spend the rest of your life taking care of the society and its requirements at large , enjoying your space and time and not seeking more wealth than you really need for 2 square meals and a contented life?
I wonder ,member get member, door to door canvassing is what many brands do, and respectfully.What is it that these people promote and claim of creating millionaires world wide.There are IT employees having a good stake holding in the company they work and these stock options are worth millions now.They could just sign off and call it a day devoting the rest of their lives in philanthropic activities rather than run for more and more money.The parent company becomes worth billions of dollars as they have a million members ,but the team that fails to build more members will end up just a few feet away from where they started.
You need to carefully plan your personal, financial and professional goals and keep netting them , creating milestones at every step of the way, and then looking over the shoulder to take pride and enjoy life with your loved ones at every milestone you have created.Not everyone chooses to be an entrepreneur, but can be a successful , happy man,contented in what ever he has done or does or keeps doing.
